How long have you been in business?
I have been a broker for 23 years now and still service my very first client. Our average client has been with us for 12 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Our main focus is Employee Benefits. Group medical is what we sell and service the most, but we work best when we can service a client's complete benefits package.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I owned two successful businesses before becoming a broker of employee benefits. I wanted to work with other business owners who shared the same passions and pressures of working for themselves.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Service and technology. Many brokers use technology to allow clients to service their own employee benefits package. Beneficial Solutions uses technology to better serve or clients and freeing up their time.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location, but go out to visit most of our clients. We have expanded our service department and the enrollment services that we currently provide to our clients. This is done thru our current online benefits portal.
Provide detailed directions to your location
It is more typical for us to visit our clients. We are happy to meet with you at your place of business or ours, but try to make it easier on the client by coming to them.
What type of payments do you accept?
Premiums are paid directly to the carriers. Most clients pay online thru the carrier websites.
Which areas do you service?
Medical, Dental, Life, Short & Long Term Disability, Voluntary Benefits, Long Term Care, Employee Assistance Plans
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?

What are your hours of operation?
Normal business hours are 9:00 to 5:00, but we can also be reached after hours when an employee has an emergency and needs help with their coverage.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
A really good compliment is when a client calls or emails us for the sole purpose of telling us what a great job we've been doing. An even better compliment is when that same client recommends us to a friend or colleague. We don't advertise, but have been able to grow every year by relying on our solid referral network.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men...
