20 Years this May.
What is your primary product or service?
Architectural Services for Residential and Commercial Structures.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I took my first Drafting Class as a Freshman in High School, worked in Construction during High School and College and thought that Architecture made sense for me. I have been in the Architecture Business for 25 years, but in the Building Trades for almost 35 Years.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Although we are a very small family oriented firm, we do a wide variety of Residential and Commercial Projects. We have worked on some very large projects, but still take the time to work with our clients to figure out the smallest details on a personal level. We pride ourselves on Personal Professional Service to each client.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our office is in our home - We usually meet each of our clients at their home or office.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are on Main Street in Lombard between North Avenue and St. Charles Road.
What type of payments do you accept?
We work with Formal Contracts over an extended period of time - We invoice on an hourly basis.
Which areas do you service?
Chicago Metropolitan Area - Northern Illinois - Southern Wisconsin. But we have done projects in several other states as well.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Thomas and Roxanne Knapp - A family owned operation.
What are your hours of operation?
We try remain flexible and schedule our appointments around our clients.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Most clients enter into a contract with an Architect without knowing what to expect. they are often very nervous because remodeling is a substantial investment which can cause great stress to any homeowner. But many clients have told us that they were pleasantly surprised by the amount of service we give - and that the final product far exceeded their expectations. We always remain flexible and sincerely hope to have long term relationships with each of our clients.
