What is your primary product or service?
I help people build a new kind of wealth - social capital - by improving their networking and communication skills. I do it a professional speaker, trainer, skills coach and author of myriad products. The third edition of my bestseller,"Breakthrough Networking: Building Relationships That Last" was released in 2009.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I taught a writing class while employed at Nicor Gas and developed a 10-week communication skills course while employed at Bell Labs(now Lucent Technologies).
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I speak and write on the subject. I walk my talk. At least 90 percent of my business is through word-of-mouth and referrals. I carefully connect people who can help each other.
